Description: Christy Mathewson handwritten letter with New York Giants framed display. Handwritten letter appears on the back of a 6"x9.25" sheet of hotel stationery which bears a list of stocks on the front. Content relates to said securities and what is to be done with future dividends that are to be deposited in the "the account of Christopher Mathewson." Pencil handwriting and signature rate 9 to 9/10 out of 10. Paper has fold lines and scattered wear including some loss at two corners. An additional signature was removed, however a "Captain U.S.A." notation (written by Matty) at the close suggests it dates to the time of his military service (1918-19). The letter was long housed in the included framed display which contains an image of Mathewson with teammates, all of whose signatures are matted below including Rube Marquard, Leon Ames, Hooks Wiltse, Jeff Tessreau, and Jim Crandall.
