The award itself measures 16" across having an octagonal brushed metal placard affixed at front with 10K gold appointments to include bust of K.M. Landis positioned below the second base position of a baseball diamond. "Ivan Rodriguez Texas Rangers" engraved 10K gold nameplate below "Most Valuable Player American League" titling, Crossed bats/baseball applique which notes year "1999" affixed to placard along with enamelwork BBWAA insignia. original Herff Jones manufacturer's metal label is fastened to the back of the plaque. Award presents in fine overall condition with some minor very minor surface wear to the perimeter of the black wooden plaque. The 1999 American League season stands as the finest of Pudge Rodriguez's superlative Hall of Fame career. Pudge led the Rangers to the AL West title behind 35 home runs, 113 RBIs, .332 Batting Average, 199 Hits, and captured his 8th consecutive Gold Glove award.
