Lot Number: 324

Description: 1961 Louisville Slugger "Home Run Derby" display piece. Oversized scoreboard style piece printed on heavy paper stock, issued by Louisville Slugger, and designed to allow tracking of Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris, against the pace of Babe Ruth, as they chased the single season home run record in 1961. The panoramic style chart measures 12"x52" with several vertical fold lines (as issued) and some additional light scattered wear. Included is the original mailing envelope which notes that it contains the September edition of the chart and an original 10.5"x11.75" insert which pictures Mantle, Maris, Ruth, and Lou Gehrig. Both of these have some general storage and handling wear (most pronounced on the envelope) and all (3) pieces were at one time within a framed display and each has a few very small spots of mounting residue/damage on back as a result: VG-EX
