A number written below each player in the lower border corresponds to a handwritten roster on back which also has "First Nine Everett B.B. Club, Oashkosh, Wi" notation. Research notes that the team was founded in 1865 by one armed solider Col. Henry Harshaw who is listed among those shown (second from the right). Marked "Webster & Walker...Oshkosh, Wis" on the back.
