Description: 1973 John Cappelletti "Walter Camp Award." Desirable honor is bestowed annually to the collegiate Player of The Year, as selected by a group of Division 1-A Coaches, by the Walter Camp Football Foundation. Past recipients have included a host of noteworthy players, most of whom have transitioned from college to wildly successful NFL careers. Wooden plaque (10"x13") has a pair of gold colored metal plates affixed at front. The first bears a printed image of Walter Camp which is captioned "Father of the Great American Game of Football." The other reads, "Walter Camp Football Foundation...Walter Camp Award to John Cappelletti, Pennsylvania State University...." Touch of light scattered wear.
