Description: Tris Speaker and Jesse Burkett autographed baseball c.1923. Red and blue stitched Reach Official American League baseball has been signed "Tris Speaker" on the side panel in fountain pen rating 7-7/8 out of 10. An additional signature on the opposite reads "Burkett"; a last name only autograph from notoriously rare Hall of Famer Jesse Burkett. Burkett broke into professional baseball in 1888 and remained involved with the game as either a player, Manager, or coach until 1933. His signature is seldom offered in any form and this represents what is one of likely only a handful of signed baseballs extant. Written across the sweetspot, in the period, is "World Series 1923" and there is an additional "Ball Thrown Into Stand By Waite Hoyt" notation.
