Description: Mickey Mantle professional model baseball bat c.1965-68 (PSA/DNA "GU 7.5"). Louisville Slugger 125 model bat with Mantle facsimile signature impressed in the barrel measures 35" long and weighs 33.2oz. Model number "M110" has been factory stamped in the knob. Outstanding useage wear is evident throughout with ball and stitch marks covering the barrel and some scattered blue bat rack marks. A nice coat of pine tar remains on the handle, a highly desirable and well documented trait in a Mantle game bat. Mild grain swelling, due to repeated contact, is present on the reverse barrel which has also a small crack/separation and there is a larger crack in the upper handle (not visible when the bat is positioned for display). Through research of factory ordering records, PSA has concluded that this bat was likely shipped to Mantle in 1965, specifically. In the twilight of his storied career Mantle had lead the Yankees through an unprecedented string of (12) American League Championship seasons including (7) in which they earned World Series titles.
