Description: June 12, 1957 Stan Musial National League record for consecutive games played used baseball. Spalding W.Giles Official National League ball has been hand lettered throughout with details related to the game played at Connie Mack Stadium in Philadelphia during which Stan Musial became the all-time N.L. leader in consecutive games played with (823). The text reads in part, "...This Ball Broke The National League Consecutive Game Record..." Musial would extend the streak to (895) by mid season, a mark which still places him 8th on the All-Time list. Appropriate mild soiling and evident use/wear.
