Description: Fine 1967 Roberto Clemente Puerto Rico Superior Amateur Baseball Circuit presentational plaque. Large 18" tall walnut wooden plaque presented to Clemente by the noted Puerto Rican baseball organization featuring a winged angel finial in gilt finish flanked by ornate intaglio brass decor. Two small applied brass placards at bottom feature the baseball league's insignia with a larger central plaque inscribed (in Spanish), "Presented to Roberto Clemente For his outstanding performance as a professional player in Puerto Rico and the United States after participating with prestige and sincerity in the amateur baseball circuit of Puerto Rico". Very handsome overall eye appeal with minimal general surface wear and tiny indentation to one placard. Desirable presentational piece with relation to Clemente's participation in the prestigious Puerto Rican Winter Leagues.
