Description: Exceptional Babe Ruth photograph by Paul Thompson c.1921 (PSA/DNA Type I). Definitive image as captured by one of the era's premier baseball photographers ranks among best ever taken of Ruth. Central portion displays beautifully and is minimally effected by wear which includes a few faint wrinkles/creases. Some more substantive flaws within the white borders include several pieces of tape (one of which encroaches the slightest bit on the top of image itself) and a strip of upper surface loss along the bottom where an additional piece was presumably removed. "Paul Thompson" stamp appears on the back along with a number ink and pencil notations. Includes LOA from PSA/DNA graded "Type 1" and certificate of provenance from Photo File: VGEstimated Price Range: ($15,000-$20,000)
