Description: Rare "Princeton" style leather football helmet c.1900-10. Early leather Princeton style helmet having scalloped edge leather attachment affixed to the top. Helmet shows heavy use including some age crazing to the exterior leather while retaining the majority of its interior padding. No visible manufacturer's stampings. Sizing appears to be a bit smaller than full size indicative of young adult use. One of the more rare and desirable early helmet styles not often offered to the collecting public: VGEstimated Price Range: ($1,000-$1,500)
