Description: 1971 Roberto Clemente presentational plaque. Walnut wooden plaque as presented to Clemente at Shea Stadium on the occasion of a special night honoring his Puerto Rican heritage. Applied brass placard on front inscribed (in Spanish), "On the occasion of the great homage paid by the Puerto Ricans of New York City at Shea Stadium on the night of September 24, 1971" along with the name of the Mayor of Carolina (PR) Heriberto Nieves. Smaller brass placard at top area inscribed "Roberto Clemente". 10"x14" with some minor surface wear.
