Description: Lot of (26) Roberto Clemente original glass slides c.1960s. Charming and unique series of glass slides in full color depicting Roberto Clemente in various settings with young Puerto Rican baseball players. The scenes include batting, fielding, running, and throwing. Period paper identification labels are affixed to the metal casing of each slide with titling. Based on content and exceptional image quality, it is likely the slides were used in a promotional campaign with relation to Puerto Rico. Each slide measures 2 3/4" square. Very fine grouping with imagery that we have not previously encountered. Includes letter of provenance from the Clemente family: EX-MTEstimated Price Range: ($1,500-$3,000)
