Description: 1971 Roberto Clemente All-Star Game presentational platter. Cast pewter platter presented to Clemente in recognition of his participation in the 1971 All-Star Game played at Detroit's Tiger Stadium. Platter measures 14" in diameter inscribed in the center, "Presented to Roberto Clemente (facsimile signature) All-Star Game July 13, 1971 Charles Feeney, President". Exterior features embossed enamelwork insignia of the National League teams with respective player participants inscribed in cursive. Platter itself exhibits some moderate surface wear including light scratching and few areas of light undulation. The 1971 All-Star Game was the final Midsummer Classic in which Clemente played belting a home run in his final at bat. Very unique All-Star Game presentational piece given to one of the greatest stars in the history of the game.
