Description: Roberto Clemente Louisville Slugger Award c.1960s. Attractive award as presented to Clemente by the Hillerich & Bradsby Co. having a professional model Roberto Clemente Louisville Slugger 125 model bat affixed to a large walnut wooden plaque. Plaque measures 13"x38" with two applied metal placards engraved with "Louisville Slugger Award" titling and Clemente career statistics that interestingly were left blank along with end date of his career. Additional metal plaque with image of Clemente is found at left end. Generally fine condition with some patination to the metal placards most notably the image of Clemente which has some additional surface flaking. Small chip on end of bat knob as well.
