Description: Very fine 1960 World Champion Roberto Clemente original presentational painting by Lucien LeButon. Stunning oil on canvas rendering of Roberto Clemente in Pirates uniform seated with three baseball bats. Beautiful use of color and light by the artist which perfectly captures the Great One in candid pose. Signed by the artist at lower right. 12"x16" in its original gilt frame with affixed brass placard inscribed, "Roberto Clemente 1960 World Champions". The center area of the painting had some surface flaking which was professionally restored and mentioned for accuracy only. Poignant artifact from the Clemente collection which occupied a place of prominence within the family residence.
