Description: Roberto Clemente Corona Cerveza presentational trophy c.1960-70s. Figural trophy as presented to Clemente by the noted Corona beer company of a walnut wooden base and center column having applique brass appointments, eagle finials, and loving cup with Greek athletic figural. Inset brass placard inscribed (in Spanish), "To Roberto Clemente in Recognition for Labor as Exemplary Athlete and Cooperation to Rio Piedras Goya" along with the Corona insignia. 22" tall with some moderate surface wear to wooden base and some replating to the loving cup and Greek figural. Some dryness and small loss under the base itself which is covered by felt but mentioned for accuracy. Includes letter of provenance from the Clemente family: EXEstimated Price Range: ($750-$1,500)
