Description: Roberto Clemente original art glass display piece c.1968. Striking original art glass display executed in decoupage fashion depicting Clemente in batting pose as presented to Clemente in 1968. The abstract style display is beautifully fashioned with three dimensional texture. Fairly thick coating of shellac was applied in the period and has toned with age. As evidenced by several areas (top right corner) where the shellac has flaked, the underlying artwork remains in very fine condition and could be improved upon with full removal of shellac coating. Includes several period images with Clemente, family members, and the artist posing with the offered artwork. 15"x19" in its original oak frame.
