Description: Roberto Clemente folk art painted baseball by George Sosnak c.1961. Classic rendering by noted folk artist George Sosnak in commemoration of Clemente's 1961 National League batting championship. Ball features hand painted images and statistics throughout including two large panel depictions of Clemente, Forbes Field, and Pirates insignia. Few minor surface abrasions and light age fading. The offered example was the only Sosnak painted baseball within the Clemente collection. Includes letter of provenance from the Clemente family: EXEstimated Price Range: ($2,000-$3,000)
