Description: Choice Roger Maris autographed c.1965-68 professional model baseball bat (PSA "GU 8.5"). Louisville Slugger 125 model bat with Maris facsimile signature burned into the barrel measures 35" long and weighs 34.1oz. Model number "A92" has been factory stamped in the knob. Player number "9" is written on either end in vintage marker. Outstanding usage wear is evident throughout with deeply embedded ball and stitch marks covering the barrel. The handle has been taped in a spiral pattern with padding below to aid in grip, a trait which Maris is known to have adopted when he joined the Cardinals toward the later portion of the referenced labeling period. An "H" shaped crack to upper handle on the reverse side of stampings is not visible when the bat is positioned for display. Signed in ink, "Roger Maris" rating 7-7/8 out of 10, an exceptionally rare and desirable trait which serves to further place the bat directly into his hands. A fine example as relates to baseball's former single season homerun king.
