Description: Fine 1964 Mickey Mantle professional model All-Star Game bat (MEARS "A8"). Adirondack 302 model bat with "Mantle 1964 All Stars" block lettered into the barrel measures 35" long and weighs 33oz. Model number "113A" has been factory stamped in the knob. A touch of light evident usage wear as identified by MEARS "appears to be a single ball mark on top of the barrel...along with some minor surface abrasions." Making his 14th All-Star Game appearance, Mantle went 1-4 and scored a run for the American League in the event which took place in New York's Shea Stadium. Despite playing in a total of (16) All-Star Games, the bats which were produced for his use in these mid-summer classics seldom surface and are particularly sought after.
