Description: Choice 1927 Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig autographed baseball with related photograph. Red and black stitched Wilson T.J. Hickey "Official League" baseball has been signed on the sweetspot, "Babe Ruth" with "Lou Gehrig" appearing on adjacent panel. Both are done in period fountain pen rating 8 out of 10. Ball displays just off white coloration with a slight touch of other discoloration mentioned largely for accuracy. An outstanding example with autographs positioned such that both can be viewed when positioned for display. Included 5"x7" vintage sepia toned photograph shows Lou Gehrig in barnstorming uniform with the original recipient, George Castagnola, who played catcher for the well known "Larrupin' Lou's" team when they made a stop in Santa Barbara, California.
