Description: Magnificent "Young America School Shoes" c.1890s baseball illustrated advertising broadside (see description) Extremely rare large format advertising display is beautifully illustrated with a large baseball game graphic at center. "A. Priesmeyer's" Company name is lettered across the top with "Young America School Shoes" product line noted within an American flag streamer below. The piece measures 18"x24" and has long been mounted to a stretched canvas/linen backing. Wear to areas throughout includes cracks/tears and several areas in which material is missing. Marked "Compton Sons" at lower right. The first we have ever handled and only the second example we can document having come to market.
