Description: Lot of (48) c.1920s-50s Jack Dempsey related postcards incl. (2) autographed (GD-EX/MT) Interesting collection of Dempsey related postcards spanning his days as a fighter through his well known stint as a restaurant owner and retirement. Includes (4) c.1920s real photo postcards showing Dempsey, Dempsey with trainer, in action vs. Carpentier (marked Beagles), and a 1926 Exhibition match; 1920s photographic postcard marked "Ljunggrens Konstforlag"; (2) c.1920s Exhibits postcards; c.1920s-30s advertising postcards from Piel's Beer, Underwood typewriters, and Continental hotels; (25) cards related to Dempsey's Restaurant which are all different (some similar with variations) and include some rarer versions which we have not seen before. Two of these have been signed on the back in ink rating 8-8/9 out of 10 (1 personalized); (6) related to his Florida hotel; and a handful of others, some of which date to as late as the 1960s.
