Description: Late 1930s autograph album with (170+) signatures incl. Lou Gehrig. String bound album as filled in the period by an enterprising collector features an impressive assortment of baseball player signatures. Notables incl. Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, Joe Cronin, Red Ruffing, Moe Berg, Jimmie Foxx, Mickey Cochrane, Bob Feller (twice), Eddie Collins, Ernie Lombardi, and Chuck Klein. Nearly all are done in pencil, with a few fountain pen, and generally rate 7 to 8 out of 10. With the exception of Gehrig and DiMaggio (whom appear alone on single signed pages), players are mostly on sheet with teammates. There are (6) cut signatures which have been glued in.
