Description: Larry Doby attributed Cleveland Indians professional model hat c.1955. Indians hat done in deep blue wool has the team's mascot insignia patch applied at front. "Wilson Professional Cap" manufacturers tag remains on the interior band which is stamped with the size "7 1/4." Size is also marked on the underside which bears "HZ C"production code that suggests manufacture in 1955. A vintage "14" player number notation is written inside. Strong usage wear evident throughout with the hat remaining well preserved overall with the exception of a missing button on top. What is relayed to have been a Doby autograph on underside of the brim has now faded to the point of being illegible/indescernable.
