Description: Fine Nelson Fox professional model baseball bat c.1955-56. Louisville Slugger 125 model baseball bat with Fox facsimile signature burned into the barrel measures 33" long and weighs 32.2oz. Model number "C12" has been factory stamped in the knob. Substantial usage wear can be found throughout with mild grain swelling to the barrel which is covered in ball stitch, contact, and cleat marks. The offered bat can traced through factory records to orders placed and shipped only during the 1955 and 56 seasons; years in which he hit .311 and .296, respectively, and made (2) of his (12) total All-Star Game appearances. It was the heart of his (14) year run with the White Sox during which he won (3) Gold Gloves and earned the 1959 American League MVP Award while leading his team to the pennant.
