Description: Early Babe Ruth single signed baseball c.1919-1923. Red and black stitched Spalding "Official National League" baseball has been signed across the sweetspot, "Babe Ruth." Done in period fountain pen, the signature rates approx. 5/6 out of 10 having faded somewhat over time. Ball itself displays toning throughout along with moderate scattered wear. The signed panel was long ago given a protective clear coat resulting in wear having less of an effect. This diminutive signature style and formation was utilized by Ruth during his more formative years and is both seldom offered and highly sought after.
