Description: 1912 Boston Red Sox stock certificate. Original stock certificate representing (37) shares in the "Boston American League Base-Ball Club" as issued on May 8, 1912. Signed by then team President James McAleer at lower right ("Jas R McAleer") whom was a former player and became deeply involved with the team at the end of his career. Additional notation written across the front dated 1914 rendered the shares invalid. A hint of light toning appears throughout along with a touch of light wear.
