Description: Rare 1942 Rose Bowl phantom ticket - game cancelled after Pearl Harbor. Desirable original full ticket as issued for the 1942 Rose Bowl Game which was to be played in Pasadena, CA at Rose Bowl Stadium. Following the attack on Pearl Harbor, fearing a retaliatory strike, a Government ban was instituted on large public West Coast gatherings; the Rose Bowl was the first significant event effected. In the interest of safety the game was shifted to North Carolina. Very few tickets to the original game remain in circulation with the offered being one of the most well preserved extant.
