Description: 1970s New York Yankees and others autographed base with Thurman Munson and Ted Williams. Full sized high quality vintage cloth base served as a seat cushion within a bench constructed from baseball bats which was utilized in Fenway Park. Signed throughout the top surface by approx. (27) incl. Ted Williams, Thurman Munson, Catfish Hunter, Frank Robinson, Bob Lemon, Yogi Berra, Ron Guidry, and others. The majority of signatures are likely members of (1) Yankees team and these have faded consistently now rating approx. 3/4-5/6 out of 10 (including Munson). A few are done in other ink/marker (incl. Williams, Berra, and Robinson) and remain stronger at 7-7/8. Base has a touch of light natural ageing and some very mild wear incl. an area of discoloration along top edge.
