Description: Babe Ruth signature model Spalding glove with original box c.1920-30s. Rare and desirable pairing includes heavy cardboard stock maroon colored box with bold "Spalding" Company name done in red against a black background on the lid and end cap labeling. Noted below is the "Babe Ruth Fielder's Glove" it contained therein. Box (approx. 8.5"x10.25"x5") has some light wear to corners and edges along with a few very light wrinkles and a touch of discoloration. The split finger laced web glove has a "Spalding" wriststrap button closure and faint "Babe Ruth" facsimile signature on inside palm. Leather remains pliable and there is light wear and natural ageing visible throughout. Seldom offered with exceptional display value, the lot includes a period publication picturing Ruth on the cover titled "Babe Ruth's Baseball Advice" (GD/VG) which is possibly the book which is also referenced on box and a lucite display case in which the box fits nicely: Overall EXEstimated Price Range: ($2,000-$4,000)
