Description: *Updated description 1938 New York Yankees team signed baseball. Reach brand baseball has been signed by (28) incl. Lou Gehrig, Joe McCarthy, Earle Combs, Bill Dickey, Red Ruffing, Lefty Gomez, Joe Gordon, Red Rolfe, Joe Glenn, Babe Dahlgren, Tom Henrich, Frank Crosetti, and others. Period fountain pen signatures rate 7/8-8 out of 10. The Dahlgren and to slightly greater degree Joe Page signatures are effected by two small areas of minor surface wear. Ball displays an off white coloration with some mildly more accentuated areas of toning. League stampings are faded and there is an errant team/year identifier written in unknown hand in their place. Fielding a team packed with Hall of Fame talent the Yankees were enjoying a run of seasons which rank among the best a team has ever put together. A fine example from this key team, further enhanced by Gehrig's prominent placement upon the sweet spot.
