Description: Yogi Berra professional model baseball bat c.1950-60. Louisville Slugger 125 model bat measures 35" long and weighs 34.4oz. The bat exhibits tremendous use including ball marks, stitching impressions, rack marks, cleat marks, and pine tar residue. Handle of the bat has a professionally repaired crack and the very end of the barrel has also had some minor restoration from dryness. R43 model number is stamped on knob end along with remnants of a period black marker numeral which resembles the #12 indicating the possibility that Gil McDougald used the offered bat in addition to Berra. Fine early playing career exemplar which originated from the family of a Yankees batboy. Includes LOA from Hunt Auctions and letter of provenance: EXEstimated Price Range: ($3,000-$4,000)
