Description: Fine Roberto Clemente autographed baseball bat c.1965-68. Rico Carty professional model baseball bat measures 34 1/2" long and weighs 34.5oz. Exhibiting evident use with rack marks and "25" written on knob end. The barrel of the bat has been boldly signed by Roberto Clemente in black marker rating 8/9 out of 10. Originally obtained by John Hupp directly from Rico Carty who was a an aquaintance and is accompanied by several vintage color photos picturing John Hupp with Carty holding 1960s Pirates nodder. One of the finest Roberto Clemente signatures on a baseball bat which we have encountered with strong display qualities. Includes auction LOA from JSA (signature), LOA from Hunt Auctions (bat), small photographic Rico Carty souvenir lighter, and letter of provenance from the Hupp family: Bat: EX, Signature: NMEstimated Price Range: ($7,500-$10,000)
