Description: Rare Roger Maris autographed professional model baseball bat c.1967-68. Louisville Slugger 125 model bat with Maris facsimile signature burned into the barrel measures 35" long and weighs 32.1oz. Model number "O16" is stamped in the knob and a vintage number "9" has been written on either end in marker. As noted in the accompanying PSA letter, the bat "shows evidence of light use. No discernable ball marks are visible on the barrel. Several red bat rack streaks from the St. Louis Cardinals bat rack are visible on the left and back barrel." Vintage signed, "To Hank Best Always, Roger Maris" rating 5/6-6 out of 10; a very rare and highly desirable trait which serves to put the bat directly in his hands in the period. An outstanding example from one of more storied sluggers of the time.
