Just below is "Lou Gehrig." Fountain pen signatures rate 5-5/6 (Ruth) and 3/4 (Gehrig) out of 10. A pair of period notations reading "1927" and "Dec 1927" are lettered on in unknown hand. Ball displays even toning with scattered surface wear and some fading to portions of stampings.
