Description: Early Honus Wagner and Claude Ritchey autographed baseball c.1900s-10s. Red and blue stitched baseball has been signed at top of a side panel, "Claude Ritchey" with his Pittsburgh Pirates teammate "Honus Wagner" just below. Fountain pen signatures rate 3-3/4 (Wagner) to 5-5/6 (Ritchey) out of 10. The ball is soiled throughout with surface wear and appears to have been used. Stampings have largely faded but it can be discerned that it is likely a Reach brand Official American League example dating c.1900s-10s. Uncommonly early for a signed baseball of any type and includes letter of provenance which traces history through the Ritchey family.
