Description: Dick Groat professional model baseball bat autographed by (6) incl. Clemente (very strong 1960 season attribution). Louisville Slugger 125 model bat measures 36" long and weighs 34oz. "Groat" is block lettered into the barrel end. Period marker "24" player number notation appears on knob which has "O16" model number impressed. Usage wear is evident throughout with deep and defined ball, stitch, and cleat marks. Signed in vintage marker by Groat (faded, 4/5 out of 10) and ink by (5) incl. Roberto Clemente, Don Hoak, Bill Virdon, Bob Skinner, and Dick Schofield. These signatures rate approx. 4/5-5/6 out of 10 and the pen impressions of another which can not be identified (possibly Mazeroski) are visible upon close inspection. Accompanied by copies of a period newsprint article which includes an image of a Pittsburgh area nun with captioning that indicates she is holding the bat.
