Description: 1951 Boston Red Sox team signed "Red Sox/Dropo" fan's sign with Vern Stephens pro model bat (2). Heavy stock double sided sign is a charming fan made creation with one side block lettered "Boston Red Sox" and the other, "Dropo Is My Boy." Red Sox side has been signed by (21) including Williams, Combs, Boerr, Boudreau, Pesky, and D.DiMaggio. Period ink signatures rate 7 to 8 out of 10. Reverse is signed again by Dropo (inscribed "To Ann Marie") and teammate Ray Scarborough (inscribed "He's my boy too"). Moderate age toning throughout with general scattered edge wear/chipping, more pronounced at corners; similar period Louisville Slugger 125 model bat has "Vern Stephens" facsimile signature burned into the barrel and "S2" stamped in knob. Nice usage wear is evident throughout and it makes for an ideal companion display piece.
