Description: 1972 Luis Aparicio Boston Red Sox professional model home jersey. White knit jersey with "Red Sox" team name across the front has player number "11" on back. Inside front tail retains "McAuliffe" manufacturer's tag with adjacent year "1972" and size "38" tags. To one side is a wash tag. Evident usage and wash wear throughout with some areas of light pilling and buckling to applied letters/numerals. Aparicio had joined Boston the season before and would remain with the team until 1973 when he closed out his Hall of Fame career. His numerous career honors include (9) Gold Gloves, (13) All-Star Appearances, and (9) times leading the American League in stolen bases.
