Description: 1985 Jim Rice autographed Boston Red Sox professional model home jersey. White home jersey has "Red Sox" team name lettered across the front in stylized logo font and player number "14" on back. "Wilson" manufacturer's tag on front tail notes the size "44" and below an "85" embroidered year tag. Vintage "Jim Rice" signature on upper left shoulder rates 7 to 7/8 out of 10. Outstanding usage and wash wear is evident throughout along with some light additional staining. A career member of the Boston Red Sox, Jim Rice had big shoes to fill when taking over his position in left field from Carl Yastrzemski who had in turn followed Ted Williams. He did not disappoint and over a span of (15) seasons put up franchise record numbers in several statistical categories, among his list of honors includes: 1978 AL MVP, (8) All-Star Game appearances, (2) Silver Slugger Awards, membership in both the Red Sox team and National Baseball Hall of Fame, and his jersey number has been retired in Boston.
