Description: 1947 Joe Page New York Yankees World Series game cleats. Spalding brand cleats retaining full manufacturer's labels on interior display usage wear throughout. Left shoe has leather re-enforcement added by pinky toe area to reduce deterioration while pitching. Includes handwritten note reading in part, "These spikes were worn by me in the 1947 World Series" and signed at the close, "Joe Page." Page is credited with a save in Game (1) and is the winning pitcher of record in Series clinching Game (7). He was named the 1947 World Series MVP, the first player in history to earn the honor officially. Also includes copy of his 1950 Bowman baseball card (GD), LOA from Hunt Auctions (cleats), and auction LOA from JSA (letter): EX
