Description: 1938 Wes Ferrell Washington Senators professional model home jersey. Rare cream colored home flannel jersey retains the original "Spalding" manufacturer's tag in collar (some fraying and small section missing) with adjacent size "46" tag. Chain stitched above is "W.Ferrell" player identifier and the year "38" done in similar style is sewn in the tail. Both the "W" team logo on front and player number "10" on back have been restored for display. Evident usage wear throughout with spotting/discoloration and/or some small moth holes to upper left shoulder, in collar area, and on back. Though with the Senators for only a brief period of time, Ferrell spent a total of (15) years in baseball typically in the role of starting pitcher. He was twice voted an All-Star and appeared on the American League roster for the Inaugural game in 1933. He is remembered as one of the best hitting pitchers of all-time.
