Description: Rare 1914 Pittsburgh Pirates large format advertising broadside. Period piece as relates to October 13, 1914 game played between members of the Pirates and a local Greenville, PA. team. Pictured throughout are numerous players (including Max Carey, Walker Cooper, and George McQuillan) along with interior and exterior views of Forbes Field. Thin paper stock has been mounted to board with several areas throughout infilled or otherwise restored. Currently displays at EX level with hint of mild toning, several very small spots, and light fold lines. Housed within larger mat and frame (26"x36" overall) which has (modern) ink signatures of Max Carey and Walker Cooper inset (rating 8 to 8/9 out of 10). Substantive display pieces of this type are rarely found from this early period with this example offering outstanding visual appeal. Includes auction LOA from JSA (autographs): Displays EX
