Description: Rare Arts and Crafts armchair with baseball decoration c.1910-1915. Mission oak Morris style seat of simple yet timeless design has decorative carved baseball scene within upper back slat. Rarely seen original painted details including adornments to uniforms, facial features, and the field/background. Surface has some scattered nicks/chips and general crazing throughout with some limited surface loss to arm planks. The chair was a functional piece in a bed and breakfast for decades and a frequent visitor made repeated attempts to purchase it from the owners whom always declined.
