Description: "Y.A.B.B.C." ring decorated baseball bat c.1880s-1890s. Early hand turned baseball bat measuring 37.5" long with acorn style termination knob. Retains a good portion of its original period surface finish with a series of rings decorating the barrel which has been lettered "Y.A.B.B.C." A large "1" numeral to the left. On back a small pair of circles are carved at mid-point and faint "LS" lettering (of unknown meaning) is visible. Mild scattered wear throughout inclusive of some nicks/dents and what appear to be cleat marks is more pronounced at barrel end. Fine early representation with desirable "B.B.C." attribution originating from the New England area: EXEstimated Price Range: ($2,000-$3,000)
