Description: 1945-1946 Caramelo Deportivo Cuban baseball card near complete set (99 of 100 cards) in album. Desirable set featuring players from the Cuban Winter Leagues with a number of Negro/Major League players including Martin Dihigo, Tomas de la Cruz, Armando Marsans, Ray Dandridge, Minnie Minoso, Ray Brown, Mike Gonzalez, Dick Sisler, Adolfo Luque, Sal Maglie, and Luis Tiant. All are mounted within an original album (not removable without damage) and display varying degrees of toning/wear. Some cards have little to no "wear" with their only flaw being that they are mounted. Given the fragile nature of the issue it is likely that being housed in the album aided in preservation over time. Album itself has chipping at corners/edges, some staining spots, and the covers have separated. Missing is card #73 which was only available at the Caramelo factory to those would produced an album with the balance of the set pasted in: Technical PR-GD with most cards retaining far greater eye appealEstimated Price Range: ($500-$1,000)
