Desirable and well preserved example as relates to the first All-Star Game which touched off an unbroken string of highly anticipated annual events. Red and black stitched Spalding J.Heydler Official National League baseball has been signed by (13) including Hafey, Hartnett, P. Waner, Martin, English, Hallahan, Warneke, Wilson, Cuccinello, Bartell, Klein, Berger, and Hubbell. Period fountain pen signatures rate 6 to 8 out of 10; ball displays mild toning with a touch of light scattered wear and retains bold league stampings. Originally offered for sale in 1995 with provenance attributed to the Pepper Martin Estate.
