Description: 1936 New York Yankees team signed baseball (World Series Champions). Well toned and soiled baseball displaying evident usage wear has been signed by (17) including Gehrig, DiMaggio (twice), Lazzeri, Gomez, Dickey, Ruffing, and others. Fountain pen signatures rate 6/7 to 7/8 out of 10. Written on the ball (in unknown hand) is an August 13, 1936 date and scores for the Yankees vs. A's games (double header) played that day. In addition, "37-38" is written below Gehrig's signature and "19" below DiMaggio. These numbers correspond to season homerun totals for each including those hit that day. Ball has period coat of shellac applied and some additional handwriting/signature(s) which can not be deciphered. Includes auction LOA from JSA and copy of game boxscore: Ball GD/VG, Sigs.
